Welcome!

The Blast is a growing delegation of Special Olympics Minnesota located in the South Metro / Burnsville area. We are a diverse group of 150+ active athletes of varying skill levels and 60+ dedicated coaches, Unified Partners, and volunteers participating in many sports offered throughout the year. Whether looking to join as an athlete or for an opportunity as a coach, Unified Partner or volunteer, we look forward to hearing from you!

Sports Offered

The Blast currently offers 11 different sports throughout the year for athletes of varying skill levels. In addition to traditional Special Olympics competitions, the Blast also participates in Unified sports where Unified Partners compete alongside Special Olympics athletes.
